The last month or so has brought several announcements of awards for my work. In July, my painting Looking Below (18×24 inches, Oil on Linen Panel, pictured above) was chosen as a Finalist in the BoldBrush Painting Competition. Also in July, the RayMar Painting Competition included my painting Along the Road (24×56 inches, Oil on Linen Panel) as a Finalist. I just learned today that two of my pieces were chosen as Finalists in the Art Renewal Center 2010/2011 ARC Salon Competition: Schoolgirls (16×24 inches, Oil on Linen Panel) and Park Bench (21×16 inches, Charcoal on Paper). I’m also excited that my painting Journey (20×8 inches, Oil on Linen Panel) will be included in the upcoming American Impressionist Society National Show which will go on display October 21st, 2011 at Mountainsong Galleries in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.

Congrats on your awards. Love the vertical composition in this painting; my eye is drawn up and in. Nice.
